Luka’s Taproom (19th St, Oakland)

Luka’s is a bar and restaurant in Oakland, serving French and Belgian inspired fare and pub favorites. They pour both some Belgians and some west coast craft beers.

Extras: Billiards room and a DJ room with a dance floor. Cover charge on weekend nights. They are a short distance from the lake if you are really serious about walking and want to treat yourself after an afternoon Lake Merritt walking or jogging circuit.

From 19th Street BART, walk north up Broadway, passing the old Paramount Theatre, for a total about four short blocks. You’ll find Luka’s on the left at the southwest corner of Grand Ave.
